Diamond Candle Giveaway!

We had some serious trash bag funk going on at the Little House yesterday, so I decided it was the perfect time to try out the delicious candle I’d been sent by the folks at Diamond Candles.

Diamond Candle

If you’ve been living under a rock lately and haven’t heard about Diamond Candles, they’re all natural soy candles that contain a surprise – a ring hidden inside worth anywhere from $10 to $5000 dollars. Yes, you read that right. $5000. (You can watch more about them here).

So when Diamond Candles contacted me and asked if I’d be willing to review a candle, I enthusiastically said YES!

When the candle arrived, I could smell it through the box. I chose their Gingerbread Latte scented candle to help get me in the holiday mood.

Seriously, with no hyperbole at all, I could eat this candle up. It smells SO GOOD.

Even Kevin loves it (and he usually prefers the smells of exhaust, locker rooms, and old pizza).

Of course, the smell isn’t even the best part of this candle. Let’s be honest ladies, it’s all about the bling.  After about 12 hours of burning (which I admit was all in one day… I wanted to see my ring), I was able to dig my ring out with a pair of tweezers (I suggest blowing out the candle before attempting this operation).

The ring comes in a little plastic baggie protected by gold foil (golden ticket?). Then comes the moment of truth. Checking out your ring. How can you tell if you got a $5000 ring? According to the Diamond Candle Website,

  1. If the ring has ’14k’ or similar information imprinted on the inside of the band than you have a ring that is worth $100+. We advise that you take it to a jeweler to get a verbal estimate to see if it is worth $100′s or $1,000′s.
  2. If the ring has ‘Thailand’ or something similar imprinted on the inside of the band it is most likely worth $100 or less.
  3. Unmarked rings are likely to be toward the $10 range but could be valued up to $100.

Since I have tiny fingers, my ring only fits my thumb. It’s not marked, but I think it’s really pretty!

A friend also clued me into a Diamond Candle Ring Swap group on Facebook so you can trade for rings in your size.

Good luck (and may the odds be ever in your favor)! Did anyone see Catching Fire this weekend?

By the way, I wasn’t compensated for any of my opinions; they are mine and mine alone. :) Diamond Candles sent me the candle and only asked that I review it.

You can follow Diamond Candles (and check out other rings) on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram.

Sweet! I know I’d be impatient too haha. I did go see Catching Fire this weekend – it was so good! I thought it was just as good as the first and can’t wait for the third!
