I Hate Laundry

… but I’m loving our laundry nook.

That’s what I’ve decided to call it, BTW. It’s closer to the truth than a “laundry room” and sounds better than “open-to-the-world laundry closet.”

And while I’d love to show you some shots of where we’re at, I’m not going to. Gotta build some suspense here, folks. It’s not easy to make a laundry nook exciting. I will, however, share some of our inspiration photos.

I love the idea of having some greenery in the laundry. Since our nook is in the hallway and has absolutely zero natural light, any plants we add will have to be plastic (but that’s okay with me… I tend to kill even the plastic ones eventually).

I love this laundry because it reminds me a bit of our space. I love how organized everything is!

Organized Laundry Closet

I really love how bright and happy this room is. It has storage and function, but also has a little bit of playfulness and color.

Small Laundry Big Storage

You can’t really have a list of inspiration laundry rooms with out including Kelly’s from View Along the Way. It’s a lot bigger than our nook, but is just so stinking gorgeous.

I can’t wait to share our laundry makeover with you! It’s only about halfway done and looks so so so much better.

Oo I’m excited to see it! Also, I am incredibly jealous that you guys have a washer/dryer (we still go to a laundry mat or go to our parents’ to do laundry!). That will be our first major purchase when we buy a house!

I can’t wait to see what you guys come with! Redoing our laundry room is on the to-do list and I’m loving all the inspiration you’re giving me!
